Friends of Beaubears Island host “A Day in the Time of Beaubears Island” on Sunday. Honouring Canada National Parks Day, you can meet 19th-century characters discussing the decline of wooden shipbuilding, effect of Confederation, and the future of the island without industry. Excursions to the island for the show cost $5, and take place Sunday at 10am, 11am, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm.
