The August 2015 crash of an Aurora plane at 14 Wing Greenwood was caused by human error. The Flight Safety Investigation Report says a pilot was worried about hitting a flock of birds upon takeoff, so it was aborted and the plane went off the runway. The report did say it took too long to decide whether takeoff should happen, and made recommendations including changes to the abort-takeoff procedure.
