SIRT won’t lay charges in New Year’s death of Sydney Mines teen

SIRT has found no grounds for charges against Cape Breton Regional Police in the New Year’s death of a teenage boy.  The 15-year-old and others ran away from a December 28th Sydney Mines house party as police responded to a complaint of bear spray.  The investigation found the boy, whose body was found New Year’s Day, fell off a cliff and drowned, and had no contact with police.
