$150,000 in provincial funding has been announced for downtown Riverview. Honouring Canada 150, improvements include electrical infrastructure on the riverfront trail; benches, accessible dual binoculars and bike racks; artistic and cultural interpretive structures; a mural and historical interpretive signage; and the opening of the Chocolate River Café & Resto, a coffee shop that will operate out of a shipping container.
