Fighting bullying in North Sydney

North Sydney’s fire chief is proposing a safe haven for kids who are being bullied.

Lloyd MacIntosh told the CBC kids who are being bullied to go to their local fire station to seek refuge in a crisis.  He added they could then call the appropriate authorities. It would be a short-term fix to an immediate problem.

MacIntosh was at the community meeting in North Sydney Monday night and says he didn’t realize how bad the bullying situation has become in the community and the fire fighters want to do their part.
