A Montreal man has been charged with attempting to defraud a bank. Police responded to the Portland Street CIBC in downtown Dartmouth yesterday evening after staff saw a man doing suspicious transactions. 25-year-old Steven Kimbau faces one count each of fraud over $5000, fraud under $5000 and resisting arrest; and two counts each of identity fraud and uttering forged documents.
