A sentencing hearing will be held today for an Angel of Death in Ontario.
Family members of some of the victims of nurse Elizabeth Wettlaufer are expected to give victim impact statements. She murdered eight patients in her care. Both the crown and defence are recommending life sentences with no parole for 25 years on the eight counts to run concurrently. Wettlaufer said she believed she was acting as an instrument of God when she gave high doses of insulin to 14 patients…6 survived.
