The president of Branch 20 of the Sussex Royal Canadian Legion isn’t too happy with Justin Trudeau and a re-designed Canadian Maple Leaf flag with gay pride colours.
Sussex Legion President Joe Butler wrote a letter to Fundy Royal MP Alaina Lockhart, after Trudeau was spotted last year waving said flag at Toronto’s pride parade.
Butler pointed out that the government of Canada flag etiquette website says “Nothing should be pinned to, or sewn on the national flag of Canada.”
He added that it upset him when he saw that Trudeau was carrying a Canadian flag with pride colours attached to the side.
