Sussex has cancelled its legal action against Sussex Corner after the village paid its bills for services, including late fees and the town’s legal costs; a total of 63 thousand dollars, mainly for sewer services.
Sussex had raised Sussex Corner’s sewer fees to reflect what Sussex pays.
Sussex Corner council wants a meeting to discuss the new rates with Sussex town council.
Until this year, the village people paid $80 per household each year to the town for sewage disposal, and are now required to pay $225.
