A group is being formed to prevent the loss of anymore historic buildings.
Tentatively called Heritage Saint John, the group was formed in reaction to the tearing down of the Jelly Bean houses recently. Organizer Chris Osborne told CBC the city is in dire need of somebody to protect and preserve these properties. They will advocate for buildings bth inside and outside of designated heritage areas.
