The Acting Chief Medical Officer of Health says doctors are being surveyed to determine whether they have the right information to diagnose lyme disease.
Dr. Jennifer Russell says the survey was put together in conjunction with the Medical Society to get a base-line understanding of what physicians know now about the disease. Then they will develop a strategy for the future to fight the tick-borne disease. But for now, Dr. Russell says the best thing you can do is wear protective clothing and use insect repellant when going into the woods.
