A Sydney man charged in a fatal hit and run accident last month remains in custody at least until a bail hearing next week.
26 year old Thomas Joseph Smith is charged with failing to stop at the scene of an accident, dangerous driving causing death and other counts after the accident March 11th. 54 year old Jackie Deveau of Cheticamp was killed when he was hit while trying to flag down a driver on Highway 125 near the Mira Road exit. Smith will be back in court for a bail hearing Thursday.
