A longtime justice of the provincial Supreme Court has been named as Nova Scotia’s next lieutenant-governor.
Arthur Joseph LeBlanc will replace John James Grant who was appointed in 2012.
LeBlanc is from West Arichat and a graduate of St. F-X. He earned his degree in law from Dalhousie and practised for more than 30 years. He was appointed to the provincial Supreme Court in 1998. He remains on the bench until he is sworn-in at a date yet to be announced.
