35 years after New Brunswick’s largest quake, another one shook the Island Lake area; between Plaster Rock and Miramichi, on May 29th with a magnitude of 3.zero.
While no person reported the earthquake because of its remote location, quake detection equipment in McAdam recorded the event.
It occurred in the exact same location as the magnitude 5.7 and 5.4 events in January of 1982.
