Discrimination case may go to SCOC

A former navy officer hasn’t ruled out taking his human rights case to the Supreme Court of Canada.

Paul Ritchie says he was discriminated against because he’s gay. He has lost an appeal of a federal judge’s ruling that refused to overturn a Human Rights Commission decision that he was not discriminated against, although he was treated differently at times at the naval engineering school in Halifax. The commission said there was no conclusive evidence it was because of his sexual orientation.
