The groups fighting the proposed major campground in Point-de-Chene want the Canada Revenue Agency to investigate a church’s involvement.
The complaint, filed yesterday, asks whether the Anglican Parish of Shediac is complying with the laws for charitable organizations. The church owns the land where the campground would be built.
Resident Arthur Melanson told CBC he grew worried the church has become too involved with the day to day business of the proposal, and is even wondering if it is one of the project’s secret investors.
