Each leader of the province’s three main parties appeared before regional council yesterday. Liberal Stephen McNeil suggested a new art gallery for downtown, New Democrat Gary Burrill promised $5 million a year towards commuter rail and Tory Jamie Baillie said he would update the charter to give HRM control the province currently has. The others agreed on the charter update.
