Regardless of the support of Sussex town council and many local businesses, a proposed ATV bylaw faces a roadblock from the Gateway Mall management.
The Sussex and District Chamber of Commerce, the Sussex Valley ATV Club and town council want a bylaw to increase ATV access to the town.
But, it’s reported that the Gateway Mall will not allow ATVers on their property.
Gateway Mall management declined to comment on the reason why.
Right now, ATVs can access the Atlantic Superstore and the Refuel gas station at Route 121 and Lower Cove Road, but ATVs are not allowed beyond the Superstore property.
