A Vimy Oak sapling is on its way from Ontario to Doaktown as a part of the Vimy Foundation’s Vimy Oaks initiative.
This year is the 100th anniversary of the Great War and the battle which claimed thousands of Canadian lives.
The sapling will be planted at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch Number 23 in Doaktown this Wednesday afternoon at 3.
