Most residents of the greater Moncton area are in favour of amalgamation.
Civic officials say this issue rarely comes up…but Corporate Research Associates did a poll recently showing 59% of area residents are in favour of a merger of Moncton, Dieppe and Riverview. 28% were opposed.
Don Mills, CEO of C-R-A, says support was strongest in the cities at 64% and 65%…lowest in Riverview at only 38%.
