Business people are pleased with the city’s decision to ease parking restrictions uptown and not ticket people for parking overnight on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
Nancy Tissington, executive director of Uptown Saint John, told the Telegraph-Journal it’s a progressive move. The head of the Board of Trade, David Duplisea, says it will encourages people to enjoy uptown’s nightlife and then pick up their vehicles in the morning.
Area residents also told the Telegraph-Journal, because parking is so tight, it’ll be nice having someplace for their guests to park overnight.
