Registration for the Amherst Police Department’s Cops for Kids program is now taking place.
You can get applications at the Police Week display at the Amherst Centre mall, the police department on Havelock Street; or at amherst.ca
The program is for kids ages eight to 11, with physical training; weapons training using paintball guns, taser demonstrations; vehicle checkstops in the stadium parking lot and RCMP canine unit and water rescue demonstrations.
It will be held at the Cumberland YMCA.
