Dogs being culled on Manitoba reserve

Leaders of a northern Manitoba First Nation are now planning to cull stray dogs, after a 24 year old woman was mauled to death last weekend.

The body of Donnelly Rose Eaglestick was found in Little Grand Rapids surrounded by about 30 dogs.

Now the chief is reportedly offering a bounty of $25 on strays in an organized cull.

Rescue groups and veterinarians say this tragedy shows should be more neutering clinics in remote areas.
