The Amherst Rotary Club’s refugee project recently got a letter from a Rotary Club in Israel, congratulating the Amherst club on the project.
It’s the second time the club got the nod for bringing two Syrian refugee families to Amherst.
Last December, a film crew from Rotary International in Chicago was in Amherst to shoot a documentary about how the community welcomed the two Syrian refugee families in 2016.
