Federal, provincial funding for Sussex to plan new economic opportunities

The federal and provincial governments are providing a combined $162,500 to help Sussex plan new economic opportunities.  It’s to help the town combat the January 2016 closure of the Picadilly mine, and has a two-pronged approach: A geothermal technical feasibility study will be done to look at extracting that energy from the potash mine, and an inventory of assets throughout the region will be developed.
