Acadia University will bestow five honorary degrees during the spring convocation ceremonies this weekend.
About 800 graduates will be receiving diplomas.
Honourary degrees are going to Maureen McTeer of Ottawa, Dr. Conville Brown of Nassau, Sandra Irving of Saint John, Rick Tobias of Toronto and Dr. Robert Walker of Ottawa.
This will also be the last convocation for President Ray Ivany who retires in June.
