Election – Promises

On the campaign trail…

Part of Jamie Baillie’s Rebuild Nova Scotia Fund would go toward rural high-speed internet.  It would invest $150 million over 10 years, including federal and municipal cost sharing.

The Liberals say they would invest $78 million to expand and create more than 70 collaborative care teams across Nova Scotia.  A $5 million annual fund would also be created to build and renovate those clinics, among other healthcare initiatives.

NDP Leader Gary Burrill has announced his government would increase the minimum wage to $15 an hour.  He says that would help lift 130,000 working Nova Scotians out of poverty.
