The Liberals are under fire for bringing back a communications director who pleaded guilty to assaulting a woman three years ago.
Kyley Harris was fired as Premier McNeil’s spokesman then because he waited four days to tell the government he was facing an assault charge.. Now he’s back as director of communications for the election campaign.
Conservative leader Jamie Baillie says McNeil has exercised poor judgment in putting Harris in a position of influence. McNeil told reporters he was proud of his party’s record on supporting victims of domestic violence, but that people deserve a second chance.
