Spring Street Academy students continue to raise money for a school in Uganda. That cash is being used to buy sports equipment, desks; and art supplies for Bishop McAllister College in that African country.
Spring Street Academy phys ed teacher Daren White recently won the National Award for Teaching Excellence in Physical Education. Officials say his commitment to the school is incredible. Last year, White got the nod for the teaching excellence award by the Nova Scotia Teachers Association for Physical and Health Education.
