Cruise ship season gets underway in Sydney today with the arrival of the first ship of 2017. Holland America’s Veendam is expected to dock at 11am this morning before departing Sydney again at 6pm this evening. The ship carries over 1300 passengers and 580 crew. 2017 is expected to be the busiest cruise season on record with 90 ships scheduled to visit Sydney this year carrying more than 134,000 passengers.
