Federal and provincial taxpayers are providing just over 292 thousand dollars for a new housing duplex project in Amherst to help women get out of an abusive relationship.
Tenants will be able to stay for up to one year, and use services and programs to transition to independent living.
If required, tenants can apply to stay for a second year.
Work should be finished by early 2019.
