Amherst police are reminding you that Visa will never ask for your card number over the phone.
Officers say there has been a boost in the number of calls from someone claiming they were from Visa, saying there were unauthorized transactions.
Don’t reveal any personal information over the phone.
Banks and credit card companies don’t work that way.
