The NDP didn’t wait for Stephen McNeil and launched its election campaign yesterday.

The premier is expected to call the election very soon, likely not long after the budget is tabled at the legislature this week.

NDP Leader Gary Burrill spoke to about 300 supporters at a rally in Dartmouth calling the McNeil Government morally deficient because it has put balancing the books ahead of people who want to help the province such as teachers and healthcare workers.  He called for a $15 per hour minimum wage, class size caps for grades primary to 12; and making community college tuitions “free.”
