Joan Fowler has gotten the nod as Amherst’s representative volunteer of the year.
She’s been involved with the local kidney foundation chapter, the Christmas for Kids campaign; and Dick’s Jamboree.
Fowler worked at the Springhill Institution until she retired in 1994.
