The province says the risk of flooding along the Saint John River is decreasing. The Province’s River Watch program issued an advisory saying water levels peaked on Friday and the levels were expected to subside over the weekend. It also states that there is no longer a risk of an ice jam in the upper Saint John River basin. Rain in the forecast over the next 48 hours is not expected to have serious impact on water levels but the province is advising that the situation could change and residents along the waterway should remain alert.
