Seniors and Long-Term Care Minister Lisa Harris says Miramichi will be getting 240 new nursing home beds despite another petition against the project.
According to The Leader, a final decision is expected later this summer with construction on the project to begin shortly after.
The Halifax-based Shannex corporation, which already operates three other P3 nursing homes elsewhere in the province; has been confirmed as one of the three finalists.
