A section of Granville Street in downtown Halifax will remained closed until 7am Monday morning as the former home of the Discovery Centre on Barrington Street is demolished. A section of Barrington and Sackville Streets will reopen around 7pm tonight. Large machinery began taking down the century old structure on Saturday morning. A new apartment tower development will eventually take its place.
