Prison time for restaurant robberies

A Moncton man has been sentenced to six and a half years in prison for four restaurant robberies within 17 days back in March of last year, according to the Times and Transcript.

27 year old Maxwell Thomas Hearn finally admitted to robbing the restaurants on Elmwood Drive. His lawyer said his common-law marriage collapsed, he turned to drugs and then to the robberies. The judge gave him credit for time served in custody since his arrest in March last year leaving him with 59 months to serve.
