Recently, Camp Aldershot had a graduation ceremony for 16 people who completed the Basic Military Qualification course.
Private Andrew Heptinstall of Waterville, got the nod as the top candidate.
Bridgewater’s Private Alex Bigwood of Bridgewater, won the “Top Shot” award for marksmanship.
BMQ candidates get training in general military knowledge, physical training; first aid, weapons handling and safety; navigation, field craft; and survival in a chemical, biological; radiological or nuclear environment.
