Bill MacDonald wants CBC to do a sequel because of a glaring ommision. The first episode claimed the first permanent European settlement was near Quebec City. MacDonald says it’s a well-known fact Champlain established the first settlement at Port Royal on Annapolis basin three years before Quebec.
CBC defended itself saying the producers focused on Quebec because unlike Port Royal, it continued as a settlement without interruption. MacDonald, however, says Port Royal should have at least been mentioned.
