Other provinces and even juridictions in the U-S are looking at a new program by the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission. It has released a 20 minute program online aimed at preventing racial profiling in stores.
Visible minorities are significantly more likely to be followed, searched and ignored than other customers in retail establishments. This program, which is a first in Canada, promotes inclusive and welcoming environments for customers.
