$1.4 million for better rural internet

The province will be spending another $1.4 million to connect 5,400 homes and 420 businesses in rural areas to high-speed internet over the next 6 months. 22 projects have been announced to address persistent complaints in rural areas that download speeds are too slow and internet connections unreliable.

A number of residents and small business people were at the Northfield District Fire Hall yesterday to hear Premier McNeil’s say access to high speed internet is a basic right.
