Police are investigating after an elderly woman was assaulted on a path in Fairview.
The woman was on a path between Joseph Howe Drive and Percy Street yesterday afternoon when three young people attacked her. Another man came along, saw what was happening and the trio fled.
Initially, the woman didn’t report it, but then police were notified when she was taken to hospital for treatment of injuries, not believed to be life-threatening. Nothing was taken.
