Four years ago, Sussex bought a vacant lot on Main Street.
But, completion of Leonards Gate was delayed by the massive flooding in April of 2014, and pressure to help those thrown out of work when Potash Corp shut down the Picadilly Mine last January.
Work could be starting up again to complete Leonards Gate.
New Brunswick has issued an invitation for municipalities regarding Canada 150 projects.
The province will give upwards of 150 thousand dollars towards initiatives, and Sussex has applied for it to help build the steel framework and permanent roofing at 602 Main Street.
