Cornwallis Street Baptist Church won’t be much longer.
The historic church will be undergoing major renovations…and a name change.
Pastor Rhonda Britton says the church will change its name because Edward Cornwallis was an oppressor of our First Nations brothers and sisters. She says it was just named Cornwallis Baptist because of the street it’s on. She says a contest will be held within the church to come up with a new name.
