The province has awarded more than 285-thousand dollars in Age-Friendly Community Grants to thirty-two groups across the province that create opportunities to support, engage and include older adults in the community. MLA Brendan Maguire awarded seven-thousand five-hundred dollars to Chebucto Connections for their 55-plus Hub project. Chebucto Connections is one of eleven groups that received funding, totalling about 109-thousand dollars, that will support older adults across the Halifax Regional Municipality.
