CBRM is looking at a notorious intersection in Sydney.
There are five lanes of traffic and no signals at Prince and Inglis streets. It’s near a school, the Kiwanis Pool, the Sydney Shopping Centre and a seniors club, so there are a lot of people trying to cross the street. Even with a crossing guard for the school, it is difficult according to Police Sargent Joe Farrell. He says there have been several car-pedestrian accidents there and one fatality.
CBRM is now studying whether traffic lights are needed.
