The provincial government is praising a milestone by Ottawa.
The federal government yesterday proclaimed into law changes to the Canada Pension Plan agreed to last summer. They will increase the maximum CPP Benefit by 50% in stages over seven years starting in 2019.
NS Finance Minister Randy Delorey says the changes will help provincial residents without a pension plan.
