There’s been another call for an independant inquiry into the Workers Compensation system in the province.
Mary Lloyd of the Pictou County Injured Workers Association told a legislature committee the system needs an overhaul becuse it’s geared towards keeping costs down for a small group of large employers which accounts for most workplace injuries.
Her Association called for such an inquiry a few years ago but was rejected by the then NDP government as too costly and complex.
