Wooden Monkey wants compensation

One of the businesses near the new convention centre has now filed a complaint with the Utility and Review Board.

The Wooden Monkey Restaurant on Grafton Street wants to recoup over half a million it says it has lost because of construction of Nova Centre. Lawyer Ray Wagner says the restaurant’s owners say the city, province, developer and everyone else involved in the project have been unwilling to discuss compensation. So the company has gone to the UARB. The Wooden Monkey is just one of the restaurants and other businesses which have complained about the noise and dirt disrupting their customers.
